We pride ourselves in delivering 1:1 therapeutic interventions in a comfortable and private environment.  Our use of kindness, compassion and empathetic personalities allow us to become the premier private practice located in Hauppauge! For our adult and pediatric population we offer shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand rehabilitation services. For our pediatric population, we work with children with special abilities/needs to achieve developmental milestones. Our office also provides classes including Kids Yoga, Handwriting Club and much more!

 

Meet Our Team 

Meet Dr. Noha Elfar, OTR/L, CHT - Occupational Therapist

Dr. Noha is a certified hand therapist (CHT) and has been an occupational therapist for over 13 years in a wide range of facilities including Acute Trauma and Community hospitals, Rehabilitation facilities, Outpatient Hand Therapy facilities, and Early Intervention with children. She holds a Bachelors in Health Science from Stony Brook University and Bachelors/Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Touro College where she specialized in Upper Extremity Rehabilitation. She also specializes in fabrication of custom dynamic/static splints and is a certified Kinesiotaping practitioner as well as a kid’s certified Yoga instructor.

She recently completed her Post-Professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University with her research focusing on the mental health of patients after a traumatic hand injury.

She enjoys hiking, skiing, running, and traveling around the world!


Meet MARY ANN VISCUSI, B.S., COTA

Mary Ann graduated from Suffolk Community College as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and received her Bachelors in Community Health Services from Empire State College. She has received a certification in Autism Spectrum Disorder from Brooklyn College. She has worked with children ranging in age from pre-school to adult with diagnoses including autism, PDD, ADHD, OCD. She has experience working in a variety of pediatric settings including school based services, in home, preschool center based care and sensory integration clinics. Mary Ann is trained in Primitive Reflex Integration, Brain Gym, BAL-A-VIS-X (Balance-Auditory-Visual-Exercises), Therapeutic Listening and Sensory Integration Treatment). She has and continues to provide inservices on Sensory Integration and Visual Motor Deficits to parents and teachers. Mary Ann is also certified with Handwriting Without Tears. Working with children and parents is not a job it is her passion


Meet Leah Fazal Byrnes, OTR/L, MLD-C

Leah Fazal Byrnes is a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist. In 2014 Leah graduated from York College, City University of NY, Summa Cum Laude with her Masters in Occupational Therapy and Bachelors of Science. She has worked in various settings including the NYC Department of Education, NorthWell Hospital, SNF and homecare. She is certified in Manual Lymph Drainage (Vodder Technique) (MLD), NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) and Vibrational Fascia Release Technique (VFRT). Leah is also practicing manual therapy techniques and studying hand therapy.

Leah enjoys spending her free time at the beach, exercising and enjoying seafood.


Meet James Fioretti, OTR/L, GTS -Graston Technique Specialist

James earned his Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Stony Brook University in May 2020 and is passionate about helping patients regain function, independence, and confidence in their daily lives. Specializing in outpatient hand therapy and neurological rehabilitation, he combines evidence-based techniques with a personalized approach to care. As a certified Graston Technique Specialist (GTS), he integrates advanced manual therapy methods to enhance recovery and optimize outcomes. He is also currently preparing to sit for the Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) exam, further demonstrating his commitment to excellence in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation.

Patients consistently praise James for his warm, engaging personality and ability to make therapy both effective and enjoyable. He takes the time to build strong connections with those he treats, ensuring they feel supported and motivated throughout their recovery. Whether helping patients regain strength after an injury or improve function following a neurological condition, James is dedicated to guiding them every step of the way.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as staying active through running and woodworking.


Meet Megan Guzman, OTD, OTR/L

Megan received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the New York Institute of Technology, where she gained a solid foundation in evidence-based practice and a commitment to enhancing the lives of her patients. With a strong focus on promoting patient independence and well-being, Megan tailors her treatments to meet each individual’s unique needs and goals, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.

Megan’s blend of expertise, compassion, and enthusiasm for helping others makes her a trusted partner in achieving lasting health improvements and personal growth.

Outside of her professional work, Megan is passionate about travel and outdoor activities, often exploring new destinations and embracing nature. She enjoys hiking with her dogs and kayaking, finding these activities both personally fulfilling and a great way to stay active.
