Hand in Hand Occupational Therapy of Long Island is owned and operated by Dr. Noha A. Elfar OTD, OTR/L, CHT. Receiving services from a therapist owned private practice feels like you are part of the family! We are dedicated to providing one-on-one therapeutic interventions focusing on the rehabilitation and recovery from injury or disease affecting the arm, cervical neck and much more, with our skilled and passionate therapists, for the entire session. We use both traditional therapy approaches as well as innovative current treatments to provide the highest quality of care so you can meet your goals!
Our services
At Hand in Hand Occupational Therapy of Long Island, you will receive comprehensive therapy services delivered by a highly skilled Certified Hand Therapist. These professionals are required to practice for a minimum of three years, during which they must accumulate at least 4,000 hours of dedicated treatment focused specifically on hand and upper extremity disorders. In addition, they must successfully pass a rigorous certification exam that assesses their knowledge and competency in the field of hand therapy. Our primary goal is to consistently provide the highest quality of care and support throughout the entire duration of your therapy session and throughout your overall recovery process.
We also provide specialized services for pediatrics to effectively help meet essential developmental milestones! Our dedicated pediatric therapist brings with them over 25 years of extensive experience in the field, ensuring that each child receives the highest quality of care and support tailored to their individual needs.

Our use of kindness, compassion and empathetic personalities allow us to become the premier private practice located in Hauppauge! For our adult and pediatric population we offer shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand rehabilitation services. For our pediatric population, we work with children with special abilities/needs to achieve developmental milestones. Our office also provides classes including Kids Yoga, Handwriting Club and much more!
